The Dilworth lineage traces back in Pennsylvania to a Quaker immigrant [10] James from Bradley Hall, in the parish of Chipping, in Lancashire, England. He became one of the first settlers of Philadelphia in 1682, shortly after he married a daughter of another prominent Quaker immigrant, Nicholas Waln of Thornbury in Yorkshire.
