The Pyle lineage traces back in Pennsylvania to a Quaker immigrant from Bishops Canning in Wiltshire, England. He was one of the early settlers in Bethel, Chester County. It was his third child William, who married the daughter of a Quaker in Birmingham, Chester, Pennsylvania, John Bennett.
